INSTRUCTOR PETER POTAPOFF

Peter Potapoff is a professional artist living in Calgary, Alberta. He has been painting for over 50 years and is passionate about sharing his skills and knowledge through teaching. Born and raised in southeastern British Columbia, Peter has immersed himself in the outdoors all his life. He lived and worked in Northwest Territories for 12 years, experiencing the immensity of the tundra its array of animals such as caribou and muskox.

 

He is nationally and international recognized for his Canadian wildlife paintings and has won numerous competitions and awards including Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year and BC Wildlife Federation Artist of the Year Awards.

PAINTING NATURE WORKSHOP - CREEKS

SUNDAY JULY 3 | 11 am - 4 pm |  Adults Ages 17+

Suitable for Acrylic Painters. Beginners or Intermediates.

Paint alongside accomplished Wildlife and Nature painter Peter Potapoff as he teaches you tricks of the trade of Landscape Painting. 

Using the instructor's photo reference students will be collectively guided through the same 11" x 14" study of the topic at hand. Learn to convincingly paint grasses and trees without painting every blade or leaf. Learn how to create dimension while painting snow or rocks. Learn how to recreate transparency and movement of water in your paintings.

Leave each workshop with one 11" x 14" painted study and the confidence to take on more challenging landscape scenery in your own artwork.
