Adults Workshop - Painted Portraits

2 Day Workshop | 11am - 4pm Both Days

Suitable for Beginners or Intermediates

This workshop will focus on the anatomy of the face while providing an opportunity to hone painting skills. Use a grid system to achieve correct proportions. Create acrylic washes to map out darker values. Experiment with oils to blend skin tones and create highlights.

This class will be an opportunity to play with colour & discover a palette that works best for you. Students will blend, mix, and record swatches of oil colours to use as a colour reference.  Students will work towards completing their portraits or getting it to a place of being satisfied with the results. Students who do not completely finish their project within the weekend will have the tools to do so on their own afterwards.
